Fabulous opportunity to own a traditional Spanish Villa, this four bedroom finca with 10x6 Swimming Pool has been reduced to only 65,000€
Extraordinary location just 5 Minutes from Caudete and 8 Minutes to Villena this finca gives a remote appearance as it doesn´t have neighbours but it so superbly located.
Mains Drinking Water but not electricity and would need a generator or Solar System. A good Solar System would cost around 5,000€, a generator, a lot less.
The finca is in need of TLC but is structurally sound. The kitchen and bathroom are recently fitted and are both modern but the bedrooms and the lounge/diner are in need of modernisation.
As one of the bedrooms backs onto the bathroom there is an easy opportunity to make a Master Bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and change the property to a three bedroom two bathroom thus increasing the value. With the exterior painted and the modernisation carried out this is a property that would be valued in the region of 130-140,000€
The approach to the house is impressive as the gates open to a big courtyard with mature trees offering lots of shade for keeping the sun away from parked cars and lots of space for outside dining although that would probably be done on the large covered terrace.
The plot is fully fenced and the are two kennels and another fenced area at the rear for dogs. The views are extraordinary from wherever you are and the road up to the house is smooth and only goes to the house and further on to agricultural land.
To the far left of the house is a big “trastero” or Storage Room and there is more storage space available under the terrace of the pool. The large pool is recently completed and the sides have been finished in decorative stone.
There are so few properties left in the Alicante region that offer the opportunity to live in and modernise and this is a cracker.
Solar systems are lots more affordable than ever before and no electricity bills. There are two randomly chosen from a Spanish online store in the photos section of the property details that would be perfect and both have six panels that can be roof mounted. There is an option for installation if you don´t feel up to the job. It used to be that Solar cost around 10,000€ for a system sufficient to run a property but those days have changed and now you can be looking at around half of that price.
The first Brits to settle in the town date back to 1707 when it was home to the troops. The lasted about 30 years as the town was fought over by the regions of Valencia and Castilla La Mancha and now it is part of Albacete. The Brits didn´t return until about 20 years ago but they now make up around 5% of the population.
Caudete is superbly located 70 kms from Alicante Airport and Beaches which takes less than an hour. The amazing city of Valencia is 90 minutes away. It´s far enough inland to be a traditional inland town yet not remote. The infrastructure is amazing with the A31 Alicante to Madrid motorway only minutes away and the Valencia to Murcia new road a similar distance. Additionally, the AVE the fast train from Alicante to Madrid has a station about ten minutes away in Villena.
The town has some beautiful independent shops as well as the usual supermarkets such as Mercadona. There are cafes on nearly every corner and some excellent food can be eaten in one of the many restaurants around the town. There are no less than four bodegas to visit and enjoy wine tasting.
September 6-10 is fiesta time and the famous Moors and Christian parades draw thousands into the town. The parades of La Entrada and La Enhorabuena take place on September 6 and 9 respectively, being the two events that attract the most visitors. In them, the five local comparsas, including the most popular the Warriors and The Moors parade in squads to the sound of festive music, showing beautiful costumes that in many cases are pure craftsmanship.
The old town has a beautiful network of streets of Muslim and Christian origin that lead up to the remains of the castle. Next to the Castle is the Parochial Church of Santa Catalina, a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. The town has three unique museums: - The Watercolour Museum of Rafael Requena - The Interpretation Center of the Cultural Heritage of Caudete - The Salatos Mantos Museum of Our Lady of Grace On the Abadía and Mayor streets; as well as the squares of the Church and Carmen are located several beautiful mansions from centuries ago.
Caudete offers a great landscape diversity where the vegetation typical of the Mediterranean forest dominates: Aleppo pine, pine, Holm oak and Kermes oak, with great variety, also of shrubs and aromatic plants. The most beautiful natural area of Caudete is Sierra Oliva, more commonly called Sierra Santa Bárbara. Despite it being over 1,000 metres the ascent is gentle and has several routes for both hiking and cycling.
There are likely many more local attractions, shops, bars, parks and more... but here's a selection from our friends at Yelp...
