Lo Romero golf course was opened in 2008 and is situated near Pilar de la Horadada, in the Costa Blanca South, and is the nearest course before the boundary with the Costa Cálida.
If you are a golfer of any description, and you are a homeowner or on holiday in the Costa Blanca or Costa Cálida, then quite simply, Lo Romero is a course that you must play.
The front nine are relatively “gentle”, the back nine become a little harder and are played through more of a pine forest. Several holes at Lo Romero will leave you feeling somewhat surprised at how “tight” they are off the tee.
The demanding course offers a challenging a variety of doglegs and undulating fairways that present a challenge due to the changes in elevation.
What sets Lo Romero apart is the 18th green, which is an island in the lake. Whilst all the remaining holes offer their own difficulties, the 18th at Lo Romero is a beautiful and challenging way to finish a round of golf.
Whilst the clubhouse is of a temporary wooden log cabin nature, it does not detract from the overall enjoyment of playing this course.
