Guardamar is one of the jewels of the Costa Blanca South. It mainly consists of three parts.
The town, the park and the beaches. In addition, there is a separate busy marina with lots of moorings.
The busy town has a main high street with lots of shops and cafes and a lovely town hall square, a bus station and health centre.
Walking just a short distance towards the coast there is the lovely Queen Sofia park with plenty of wildlife to observe, children’s play area and picnic areas, just opposite are the sand dunes with pathways for walking.
The coast boasts 11km of golden sandy beaches. The promenade is lined with many cafes, bars and restaurants. This is, quite understandably, a very popular and attractive resort.
Many properties in this area have lovely sea views.
There are local buses running between Torrevieja, Alicante, and Orihuela from here making it an ideal choice.
